The non-governmental association "IKRE" Rožaje was founded in 2002, based on the experience of the founders in providing support to vulnerable groups of citizens who are victims of human rights violations and family violence.
Mission
The non-governmental organization "IKRE" Rožaje is a non-profit and non-partisan organization that fights for the suppression of all forms of violence against women and girls, providing support in the process of access to justice, economic empowerment of unemployed women, providing services and support to vulnerable groups through the Counseling Center: free legal assistance, psychological counseling, providing the service of a confidential person, organizing trainings and courses for unemployed women in acquiring skills and competences that can enable them to become economically independent and employed.
Vision
The organization's vision is a modern society built on the foundations of gender equality and respect for diversity, in which women realize all guaranteed rights and participate equally in all segments of life in the community.
Activities
The basic goals of the establishment and operation of the organization are: affirmation and promotion of the rule of law and protection of human rights with a strong focus on the human rights of women and girls.
The organization's activities are aimed at informing the public about women's human rights and gender equality, educating women about their rights, researching the needs and potential of women in Montenegro. The organization cooperates with local, state and international bodies and organizations that operate in the field of women's rights, gender equality and are involved in the adoption and implementation of strategic documents of importance for women's existence in the local community. Organization of education and training in the field of democracy, civil society, human rights, European integration, organization of trainings and courses to improve lifelong education for unemployed women, less employable and persons with disabilities.
